The Family in Focus Center was created in February 1996 by a group of experienced social scientists active in the women’s movement. The FF Center aims to develop research in social areas in general and about family life in particular, raise society’s awareness of the consequences of negative phenomena that families actually face, and promote valuable traditions for a better family life. FFC research and teaching address these objectives with the ultimate goal of making Albanian society more sensitive and active toward the situations and questions of Albanian families. In the future, the FFC will become a resource and analysis center.

Zene zenama
"Žene Ženama" is a self-organized women civic initiative which involves women of different generations, social origin, education, religious and ethnic affiliation, which attempt, through their own efforts, to solve the immediate problems of everyday living.
Žene Ženama promote the culture and values of non-violence, women education, respect and acceptance of diversity and the active women NGO sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Medica
The Mission of Medica is the improvement of quality of life for women in Bosnia and Herzegovina, through promotion and direct protection for women (and children) human rights, raising of self-awareness of women about their own worth, about a woman’s value to the family, in the partners’ relationships, in the workplace, community, society.
Gender Centres in B&H
The Gender Centre follows and studies the status of women and the implementation of their guaranteed rights in both domestic and international legislation. It coordinates its efforts with the Equal Opportunity Commission of the Parliament of BH Federation, and cooperates with the appropriate institution in the Republic of Srpska.

Kosovo
Kosova Women Network
The Kosova Womens Network is a network of local women's groups. This includes groups that have over ten years of experience in community development, as well as new groups that have been founded since the arrival of the UN in Kosova. Members of the network provide a variety of community services to vulnerable women, including courses, trainings, aid, and psychological support. Additionally, they work on social problems affecting women and girls today, such as violence against women, trafficking for prostitution, and low enrollment of girls in schools and at the University. We also work with Serbian and Roma women in Kosova by providing support and training so they may build up their capacity to work effectively on behalf of their communities.
Gender Training and Research Center
Gender Training and Research Center is a non-governmental organization based in Prishtine, aiming to promote and protect women rights as part of human rights. It is registered according to UNMIK regulation as an independent NGO.

The Organization of Women of Sveti Nikole
The Organization of Women of the Municipality of Sveti Nikole was founded in 1990. The OWMSN is a non-governmental, non-partisan organization that works on the territory of the Sveti Nikole Municipality. In recent years, the organization has made efforts to establish cooperation with other women NGOs in Macedonia.
The Union of Women Organizations of Republic of Macedonia
The Union of Women’s Organizations of Republic of Macedonia (UWOM) is non-governmental woman’s organization which was established in October 1994 by 10 independent women’s organizations from different cities in Republic of Macedonia. Since its establishing UWOM is functioning as a network of 46 member organizations. These organizations are different by its structure and interests. UWOM is multiethnic network of Macedonian, Albanian, Roma, Serbian and Vlach Women Associations.
The Women Union PRESTIGE
The Women Union "PRESTIGE" from Bitola is non-government, non-political and non-profitable organization, which is founded on 8th May. Over 105 women with different age, nationality, profession and religion are members of this Union with main determination to improve the condition and participation of the woman in all spheres of living. The main determination of the Union is to represent and protect all the women and to equalize the relations between two sexes. The Union "Prestige" is financed by self- financing, by the donations, one-month membership and making projects. All the women members of the Union are working voluntary with no salary.
Montenegro
WOMEN ACTION - ZENSKA AKCIJA
Women Action is an NGO registered in February 2000. Women Action have been involved in these activities – work in non-governmental organizations, promotion of women’s rights and fight for gender equality. Women Action directs all of its energy to the single goal - equal, strong, self-conscious Montenegrin woman with her own economic independence.
"Women Action" creates the space for women’s political affirmation in all decision-making positions, creating the balanced Gender relations, exchange of experiences and data, giving support for the process of transition of society, toward the civil ones.
ZINEC-ANIMA/ GENDER STUDIES PROGRAMME
It is a degree granting, alternative, educative, interdisciplinary program within which women and men are educated systematically. The program is regardless of people's race, nationality, religion, language, age … Theoretical approach is interdisciplinary, the method is alternative to academic method, gained education is in function of active application of gained knowledge in life and in business or further independent research work.
Women Safe-House
Non-governmental organization "Women Safe-House" was registered in June 1999 and it appeared "thanks to" statistics data of the Center for social work, police stations and numerous calls on the SOS telephone, which showed huge numbers of women and children who suffer of family violence. Thrown out from their homes, most frequently with kids, they wandered the city, slept in parks, building entrances or Moraca's caves. They didn't come across understanding of family or society, often not wanting to involve their family in personal problems. Their shelter was opened on August 3th 1999, thanks to USAID's understanding which approved the pilot project within a year period. Till nowadays, in SWH stayed 751 perons (women and children). There are 4 women and 3 children at the moment.

The Autonomous Women Centre against Sexual Violence - Autonomni ženski centar protiv seksualnog nasilja
The Autonomous Women Centre against Sexual Violence was founded in 1993, by the volunteers at the SOS Phone-line. Their goal was to provide support for women victims of rape in war, women victims of male violence. In 1998, it was renamed the Autonomous Women Centre, due to the expansion of its activities and projects.
Association for Women Initiative - Asocijacija za žensku inicijativu
The Association for Women Initiative promotes self-organizing of women with the goal of improved social status and visibility, as well as participation in division of power – through empowerment, education, awareness, support for local initiatives and networking of the women’s movement.
Labris – Lesbian Rights Group - Labris-grupa za lezbejska prava
Empowerment of lesbians and women of different sexual orientation to accept their identity and get out of the situation of discrimination and violence; changes in the legislation which would recognize the right to different sexual orientation and prohibit discrimination of lesbians and gay men; lobbying the women groups to respect lesbian rights as basic women and human rights; influencing the public opinion through reiteration of the fact that lesbians exist and reduction of homophobia in society; strengthening of gay and lesbian networks in Former Yugoslavia.

Women Studies Centre in Belgrade was founded in 1992, as an alternative, interdisciplinary education project which includes education, research and publishing. The Mission of the Centre is to create a tolerance model or differences of any type through research of issues of gender, ethnicity, nationality, race, class etc, and to provide theoretical positions for resistance of exclusion.
