|
At the end of March 2007, the National Decentralization Coalition (NDC) will complete the first phase of its work in public advocacy of decentralization, supported by Washington-based National Endowment for Democracy (NED). As we already announced, the activities of this first phase will officially close with a conference organized by the NDC.
The Coalition invites all interested persons to participate in teh conference, titled Decentralization as the Starting Point for Future Development in Serbia, to be held in Nis, March 28-30, 2007. Their participation shall contribute to the efforts to create the necessary conditions for true decentralization based on the idea of equality of all citizens. The conference will be interactive and should provide for better understanding of specific needs of decentralization in different parts of Serbia, with the key topics of decentralization and public advocacy. Due to restricted number of participants, the Coalition asks the potential participants to submit their applications by Thursday, March 22, to decentralizacija@protecta.org.yu; or by phone/fax at 018/ 522-788, 514-360, 514-361. The Application should list only the name of organization and its representative, as well as special requirements regarding accommodation and food (for disabled persons and vegetarians). The organizers shall cover the costs of travel, accommodation and food for the duration of the conference. |
