CESI’s National Campaign for Prevention of Gender-Based Violence

The CESI Education, Counselling and Research Centre, in partnership with the Open Media Group (OMG), starts the implementation of the National Campaign for Prevention of Gender-Based Violence. The campaign aims to raise youth awareness about this problem and prevent gender-based violence.

The national campaign will include a variety of activities, including research of gender-based violence in adolescent population; a media campaign; education seminars for secondary school teachers; information through the SeZaM website; youth creative techniques work on gender-based violence issues; public debates; presentations of works created by the youth; advocacy and public policy activities.

The Campaign will be presented to the public today, at the Croatian Sabor (Parliament), in organization of the Gender Equality Committee. The presentation will be attended by representatives of international institutions, competent ministries, state administration bodies, Zagreb City officials and NGOs.

The campaign is financially supported by the European Commission, the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports and CARE International.
