New Project for Roma in Elbasan

The Institute for Habitat Development (Co-Plan) has already started the project on Roma people in Elbasan with funds of Cordaid (Dutch NGO). The project aims the integration and life improvement of Roma community within the city of Elbasan.

The project area includes an illegally developed neighborhood at the outskirts of Elbasan and is mobilizing all possible actors and partners in the project.

This project will further consolidate the expertise of Co-PLAN with illegal neighborhoods of Breglums (95'-98'), Bathore/Kamza (99'-04') and Keneta (04'-07).

The community and the local government will be encouraged to build a partnership for the urban and social integration of the neighborhood. Furthermore, the social component of the project will aim to improve life conditions of inhabitants.
