Unknown Assailants Attack MANS Activists

Two activists of the MANS Network for Affirmation of NGO Sector, who collected signatures for a petition in Podgorica, were attacked by five persons whose identity remains unknown.

The assailants verbally abused the activists, attacked them physically and broke the table used to collect the signatures, reports Vanja Calovic, MANS Director. The public statement issued by MANS states that the organization reported the incident at the Podgorica Police Department and expects that the perpetrators will be discovered as soon as possible.

MANS started the initiative to collect signatures for submission of the Proposed-Law on Protection of Households in Energy Supply Sector to Parliamentary procedure. The proposed Draft provides that the price of electricity for the households will be calculated using only the price of domestically produced electricity as parameter.

The complete Draft is available for download at this link.
