On the Road to EU: Macedonian Gender Equality Policies
The meeting will provide an opportunity to initiate a debate between govenrnment institutions, NGOs, EU representatives in Macedonian and other relevant organizations on the past progress Macedonian has made and the future directions to achieve the gender equality standards that are an integral part of European legislation and practice. Having in mind the new policies and the intensified efforts of the European Union to promote and improve gender equality, the debate should focus on the development and effective implementation of Macedonian policies in this field. The meeting should produce clear directions and recommendations for improved policies. The debate shall be based on the information about the Macedonia’s progress in terms of harmonization with EU gender equality standards, with view on the findings and recommendations of the monitoring conducted by EU representatives and non-governmental organizations. |
