Open Competition for Establishing Digital Clubhouses (E-Points)

The Metamorphosis Foundation announces the opening of the open competition for establishment of digital clubhouses (E-points) with six computers each.

In accordance with the Foundation�s efforts to bridge the digital gap and provide for faster social development through implementation of information and communication technologies (ICTs), it started implementing the �Digital Clubhouses� project back at the end of 2004, with the support by the Foundation Open Society Institute Macedonia (FOSIM).

Under the project, the Metamorphosis Foundation will support the establishment of new digital clubhouses (e-Points), in 2007.

The digital clubhouses are places that offer a number of activities and services, including access to ICTs to the citizens of local communities, with the aim to support their social and economic development. Their mission would be to provide training and access to electronic services (web, e-mail, etc.), as well as promotion of ideas for expansion of information technologies among the citizens, regardless of their age and background.

The Deadline for application expires on March 5, 2007.
