UNHCR and People’s Office Sign Agreement on Cooperation and IDP Integration

The UN High Commissioner for Refugees and the People’s Office of the President of the Republic signed, last Monday, February 5, an agreement on cooperation in the implementation of a pilot-project dedicated to integration of refugee and IDP families.
According to the agreement, the two organizations will join forces with their partners to provide housing and shelter to the most vulnerable refugee families, through placement with domicile elderly households that also need help and assistance. The pilot-project shall include the partners with which UNHCR has already cooperated on similar projects – INTERSOS, social welfare centres and other local institutions, while the People’s Office will be charged with the coordination between Serbian Refugee Commissariat and the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Policies. |
