Panel Discussion on Platforms of Parties Running in the Elections

The Centre for Free Elections and Democracy (CeSID), with the support by the Institute for Sustainable Communities, implements the “Responsible Politics Through Greater Citizen Participation” project, which aims to introduce the citizens with the platforms of political parties and promote higher turnout of voters in the Elections scheduled to take place on January 21, 2007.

Under the auspices of the project, a panel discussion will be held at the Belgrade Media Centre, tomorrow, January 17, starting at 12:00 hours.

The discussion will gather representatives of the Democratic Party, Serbian Renewal Movement, G17 Plus and coalition LDP/GSS/SDU/LSV, to present their platforms on the following topics: strategies and priorities of economic development; Decentralization and equal development; Poverty Reduction; Improved environmental quality.

In addition to representatives of the parties and coalitions mentioned above, Zoran Lucic, CeSID Executive Director, and Marko Blagojevic, CeSID Programming Director, will take part in the discussion.
