Nowadays Grand Lake Park and Dajti National Park are the most preferred place for Tirana’s citizens and other Albanian and foreign visitors. In the conditions and prospective of Albania, where tourism is being considered as one of the development priorities, educating young people with the love for nature and promotion of recreational activities in nature areas is considered crucial.

The promotion of sustainable development and eco-tourism are new concepts for Albanian society so EDEN Center built its organizational capacity through Nature Guides to influence the governmental policies in terms of usage of natural resources/sustainable development and environmental education.

Nature Guides (NG) in their activities purposes to introduce EU active nature conservation policies and practices (e.g. transfer ofexperience and best practices from the Netherlands environmental NGO-s), encourage sustainable development of Artificial Lake and Dajti National Park and increase opportunities for young people to experience and enjoy the wildlife and natural features of recreational sites of the city.

Nature Guides have established itineraries with signs tourist system in the main streets of the Grand Lake Park and Dajti National Park. NG have cooperated constantly with groups and environment NGO’s and also Touristy Agencies offering their services in Eco-tourism area.
