Croatian Youth Network Associate Member at SEEYN

The SEE Youth Network annual assembly, held earlier this month in Montenegro, decided, by unanimous decision, to accept the Croatian Youth Network for associate membership. CYN may become full member of SEEYN in a year�s time, if it proves, through its activities and engagement, itself worthy of it.

The SEEYN is the largest network gathering youth associations and association working for the youth in the region. It was established in 1999 and currently gathers about 20 youth associations from seven countries of SEE. The member associations work in areas of youth information, volunteering, camps, youth policies, human rights, environmental protection, etc.

SEEYN finances and stimulates its members to undertake activities such as public advocacy campaigns, working camps, volunteer exchange, trainings, ets. Over the coming period, SEEYN will focus its activities on topics close to CYN priorities: youth policies, development of volunteering and youth employment.

The only other SEEYN member from Croatia is the Zagreb Volunteering Centre, which is also member of CYN. Also, in the past, the DANUBE Youth Peace Group and Zelena Akcija were also members of the regional network.
