The Project aims to support sustainable return of refugees and IDPs, in accordance with B&H Strategy for Implementation of Annex VII of the Dayton Peace Accords. The project is based on identified needs to respect the socio-ekonomic rights of minority returnees, strengthening of capacities of local communities of minority returnees and improvement of their cooperation with municipal authorities, as well as advocating improved information and exchange of information on sustainable return. During the 12 months of implementation, representatives of local communities and groups of minority returnees in Bratunac, Sapna, Celic and Lopare will be educated in the area of institutional strengthening and public advocacy towards respect of socio-economic rights, non-discriminatory policies and reduction of xenophobic elements in the surroundings. The situation of minority returnees will change and improve, with special importance placed on the establishment of instruments of continuing exchange information between local communities, local authorities and radio stations, aimed to introduce the citizens to the problems faced by the minority returnees and positive examples of what is necessary for sustainable return. |
