Free ADSL Internet for Schools in Montenegro

The Montenegrin T-Com announced that it will secure free ADSL internet for all elementary and secondary schools in Montenegro for the next five years. The company sees this as a contribution to the process of increasing computer literacy among the population of Montenegro.

T-Com says that it decided to make this move in order to bring the Montenegrin students closer to the contemporary methods of learning, which will assist in their continuing education.

"We found the direct motivation for this donation in the results of the latest survey conducted by the Institute of Strategic Studies and Prognosis, which show that only 2.9% of students included in the poll used internet at school”, says the public statement issued by T-Com.

The aim of this action is to modernize the teaching processes, and to enable the students in Montenegrin elementary and secondary schools to connect with their peers in other countries. The idea is to integrate information technology into the teaching process, as important took in contemporary education.

The action of donation of free super-fast internet connections will be implemented in cooperation with Ministry of Education and Science.
