Be Part of the Solution, Not the Problem

Under the framework of the “Be Part of the Solution, Not the Problem” National Campaign, series of educational and cultural events will be held in Skopje, under the motto “Attention! Prejudice Overdose”. The National Campaign aims to introduce the general public about the problem for reduction of damages and stigmatization and discrimination of drug-abusers and their families.

At the conference for the media held earlier today, representatives of the Macedonian Network for Reduction of Damages (MMNS) invited the media to join the activities of the campaign, through the education workshop for journalists, designed to inform the media about the issues of treatment for addicts and their stigmatization in society.

„The fight against the stigmatization can and need to be done together with the media, but only with well-informed media”, said Keti Todorova from “Doverba” association, MMNS member organization.

The Campaign is implemented by MMNS, HOPS - Opcii za zdrav zivot (Skopje), Mladinski klub (Stip), DOVERBA (Skopje), OPCIJA (Ohrid), HELP (Gostivar), ZONA (Kavadarci), PASAZ (Skopje), HOPS (Kumanovo), Via Vita (Bitola), IZBOR (Strumica) and Gluva soba - lim-pid (Skopje), with the support by the Ministry of Health and the Global Fund for Fight against AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria in Macedonia.

The Skopje segment of the campaign is supported by the City of Skopje, the Ministry of Labour and Social Policies, KASTRO Club, Art kafe - Mala stanica, Ludnica, Plagijat, Pogon, NMP, NVO Infocentar. Media sponsors are: Kanal 103, Antena radio, Radio Ravel, Lajf radio, Siti radio and Radio 2.
