MOST Accepted for ANPED Membership

The Development Cultural Information Centre MOST was accepted into full membership of the Northern Alliance for Sustainability.

The MOST application for membership was reviewed by ANPED Board at its annual meeting, held September 7-9, in Kyiv, the Ukraine. The main topic of discussion of the Kyiv meeting was the preparation of non-governmental sector’s comments on the UN Sustainable Development Strategy.

"This is the first time that the NGO sector has influence on an international document of that level. As representatives of Montenegro, we represent the basic principles of sustainable development for our country”, say MOST representatives that took part in the meeting.

Several working groups function under the ANPED auspices, all of them close to MOST work: local sustainable development movement; sustainable development and consumption; Water, pollution and health; Nuclear industry and renewable energy; Health and environment; the Carpathian Convention.
