VESTA: Human Rights Campaign

The VESTA association from Tuzla started the implementation of its “Campaign for respect of Rights of Children and Women through the K.R.I.K. (Campaign Development and Implementation Coordinator)” project. The project aims to secure the establishment of an advocacy platform for the rights of vulnerable groups of citizens and raise the public awareness in B&H about their needs.

The project is based on real needs, determined after the preliminary analysis in 20 municipalities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and is directed towards the target group of women and children.

During the 14 months of implementation, VESTA will create the conditions for establishment and operation of the KRIK network, including CSOs from four target municipalities.

The strengthened capacity of network members for independent work in the community and implementation of public advocacy campaigns, in cooperation with local radio stations, aims to improve the situation of respect for the rights of children and women in target areas. The methodology developed for this project shall be used for further expansion of the network to other parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The project is supported by the European Union, under its European Initiative for Democracy and Human Rights Programme.
