All Equal All Different Campaign

On the occasion of October 18, the International Youth Democracy Day, four youth organizations from Macedonia will organize a public debate on youth participation in public life. The debate will also mark the start of the “All Equal, All Different” campaign, organized all over Europe, sponsored by the Council of Europe. The campaign rests on three pillars: participation, human rights and diversity.

The campaign for Macedonia is carried by the Youth Education Forum (YEF), AEGEE Macedonia, the Young European Federalists (JEF MK) and Balkan Idea. The national campaign, supported by the CoE Office in Skopje and the National Agency for Sports and Youth, will include many activities, forums, debates, public campaigns and actions.

“Although the campaign is officially carried by these four organizations, but it doesn’t mean that it is closed for the other interested organizations. We invite all youth organizations in Macedonia to join the campaign with their own activities”, said Maja Stojanovska from AEGEE Macedonia.

The debate tomorrow (October 18, “Vavilon” Centre for Children and Youth, Karpos, near the Police Station), will discuss the topic of youth participation in public life. Two teams holding opposing positions will take part, helped by two experts. The organizers will dedicate time for the audience to get involved with their questions and contributions.

Under the auspices of the campaign, a three-day National youth forum (Ohrid, October 27-29) is planned, with participation of all youth organizations in the country. The forum will include a number of workshops and lectures on the three pillars of the campaign.

The campaign will end in June 2007, with another big event.
