Survey of Political Parties’ Attitudes towards Gender and Sex Issues

In August 2006, the Q Association and CURE Foundation conducted a public opinion survey on treatment and implementation of the Law on Gender Equality in Election Platforms of B&H political parties running in the coming General Elections.

The main goal of the survey was to determine whether and how the political parties in Bosnia and Herzegovina incorporate gender, sex and sexual orientation issues in their political programmes, but also what actions they take on these issues.

The survey was also interested the view of the political parties on LGBTIQ persons and human rights from the viewpoint of discrimination based on sexual, gender identity, and whether they plan to take some action concerning human rights of LGBTIQ persons in B&H.

The results are based on the responses of the following political parties: Croatian Democratic Union B&H (HDZ), Liberal Democratic Party (LDS), HDZ 1990, Social-democratic Party SDP, Croatian Rights Party (HSP), Socialist Party (SP), and Party of Pensioners (SPU BiH).

The answers provided by the political parties are available as PDF document (in BHS) on Q Association website.
