The internodium.org portal reported last week that US NGOs CHF Montenegro (Community, Habitat and Finance), International Relief and Development (IRD) and the Academy for Educational
Development announced the implementation of “Montenegro Connect” project for establishment of wireless network on the whole territory of Montenegro.

The project, financed by the US Government through the USAID, imas to secure subsidized internet access to a select group of users, as well as wider availability to internet services for citizens of Montenegro, through establishment and activation of wireless infrastructure network in Montenegro, which will provide internet services in the whole country.

At first, the services will be intended for use in elementary and secondary schools, hospitals and other public institutions, with the goal to increase computer culture and use of contemporary ICTs, primarily among the young population of Montenegro.
