Strengthening Youth Capacity for Democratic Activism
The Youth Initiative for Human Rights organizes the three-day Strengthening Youth Capacity for Democratic Activism in Local Communities trainers’ training, September 22-24, 2006. The training is open for activists from Nis, Kragujevac and Zrenjanin (20 persons from each of the cities).
The lectures will be given by representatives of non-governmental organizations and experts in the topics and fields listed above. The organizer will cover travel and accommodation costs. Several criteria will be taken into account in the selection of participants: age between 18 and 30 years; permanent address in one of the three cities or their surroundings; past experience in activism; preparedness to create and actively participate in future activities of programmes and organizations working on similar topics. A CV (one page) and letter of motivation (maximum 500 words) should be submitted to YIHR, not later than September 10, 2006, at predrag@yihr.org (Kragujevac); maja@yihr.org (Nis) and daniela@yihr.org (Zrenjanin). The training is organized under the “Youth Activism for Democracy” project, implemented with the support of the British Embassy to Belgrade, by local offices of the YIHR in Kragujevac, Zrenjanin and Nis. |
