Freedom of Information and Freedom of Access Information Lecture

Today, August 30, the American Corner Skopje organizes a presentation and discussion on the topics of freedom of information (FOI) and freedom of access to information of public character.
The presentation will be given by William G. Forroggiaro, Washington, D.C.-based writer and consultant with 15-year experience as a practitioner of FOI and advocated for government accountability. Ferroggiaro has also headed the freedom of information project of the National Security Archive non-governmental organization, based at the George Washington University. In that capacity he co-authored a number of reports on government compliance with information law and regulation. In addition, he conducted briefings and training presentations with several departments of the Administration and assisted the preparation of Congressional testomony and Federal litigation. Ferroggiaro has briefed visiting delegations (both governmental and civil society) from more thatn 50 countries and provided expert comments on proposed legislation and charters.
