“DOSTA” Protests Hate-Mongering in the Election Campaign

The DOSTA activist movement of B&H citizens fighting for their dignity organized protest gathering in Sarajevo last Saturday, August 26, under the motto “Stop to Violence, Campaign Lies and Hate-Mongering”. The protests were held on Oslobodjenje-Alija Izetbegovic Square.

During the protest gathering, DOSTA activists distributed information leaflets inviting the citizens to use their democratic right and protest, in order to show the world that they don’t like living in such a state. The “Food – Not Bombs” Collective, working within DOSTA, distributed warm meals to the participants and citizens.

The activists organized collection of schoolbooks and other equipment, to be presented to children of parents that can’t provide their kids with all the necessities of school.

One activist performed an act in which he presented an opportunist politician with whom the citizens can communicate only with many difficulties.

DOSTA members fear that the campaign will be full of hatred and incitement of nationalist passions, all designed to get to power in the most perfidious manner.

"We can’t keep our mouths shut and accept that. We need to realize that we need to live after these elections, even take to the streets and protest if they deceive us again in order to bring down that government and demand early elections”, said DOSTA activists during the protests.
