CDHRF Request Maximal Engagement in Identification Of Missing Persons

On the eve of the International Day of the Disappeared (30 August), the Council for the Defence of Human Rights and Freedoms - CDHRF organized today a roundtable on the topic “Intensification of activities for identification of the missing”.

“The roundtable aims to identify further steps to enlighten their fate”, said Pajazit Nushi, Chairman of CDHRF.

In distinction from family members of the missing persons, who believe that there are still alive persons in Serbia, CDHRF does not believe in this theory but requests from local and international institutions maximal engagement for bringing light to their fate.

According to International Committee of Red Cross - ICRC, around 2,500 persons are considered as disappeared, the fate of whom remains unknown today, seven years after the war.
