Protests for Peace in Lebanon

Under the motto “STOP the New Lebanon War”, the Macedonian-Arab Friendship Society and their friends organized a peaceful protest in front of the U.S. Embassy in Skopje on Saturday, August 29, demanding that the latest war in Lebanon is stopped immediately.
“Lebanon has lived through seven wars, and it needs not new victims and destruction. The children of Lebanon should not be held hostage to the interests of the world superpowers”, said members of the Friendship Society. The peaceful protests did not attract too many citizens, lamentably, and was over in about an hour’s time. |
