Join the Network for Promotion of Rights of Children with Disabilities

The Velikimali organization from Pancevo invites all organization that work with children with disabilities, or are interested to development programmes for support of this population, to join them as partners in the implementation of Network for promotion of rights of children with disabilities in Serbia, which includes creation of strong and effective services for disabled children in the local communities. In 2005, Velikimali prepared and implemented five seminars, a number of visits and consultations with organizations from Novi Becej, Vrsac, Feketic and Backa Topola. The planned activities for 2006 include capacity building workshops and seminars, experts’ seminars, amendments to the Legal Guide for Children with Disabilities, etc. The networking of organizations and institutions and joint capacity building develops a social model of support for children with disabilities and more effective representation of their rights, which leads to their reduced marginalization and isolation, thus to improved quality of personal and social life for the children and their families.
