|
Yesterday morning, the eight-day information caravan of OIA’s “Shake Up the State – When Young People Vote” campaign started its trip around the country. The caravan will visit about 50 cities and townships all over Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Youth Information Agency (OIA) continues with one of its most important project activities, the information and promotion campaign during which activists from OIA and its partner organizations will distribute brochures on elections, introduce the election process to the youth and the importance of participating in elections. In addition to receiving information on elections, the youth will be introduced to the first social game in the country, “I Play, I Vote, I Win”, created by OIA members to bring closer to the youth the process of selection and deciding when faced with situation in which they may elect or be elected. Approximately 100,000 copies of various promotional material will be distributed. OIA invites the youth to come out to Parliamentary Elections in numbers and use their voting rights. The Agency distributed 40,000 letters from the citizens to the political parties. In the letters, the citizens are adamant that they wont vote for parties that fail to include youth programmes in their programmes and platforms. It also prepared a YOUTH AGENDA and submitted it to representatives of all levels of government and held meetings with the eight key political parties.
