Call for Proposals: Economic Empowerment of B&H Women

In compliance with the Cooperation Agreement concluded with the German Government, the BH Women Initiative (BHWI) Foundation announces the opening of public competition for financing of projects under the Economic Empowerment and Fight against Women Poverty Programme. The Competition is directed at interventions aimed at greater inclusion of women in labour, employment and self-employment in the country.

Preference shall be given to creative interventions that result in measurable increase of employment and income-generating opportunities, as well as improved economic status of women. The projects financed through this competition are designed for unemployed women and women of other socially vulnerable categories, including single mothers, widows, women from families with big number of dependents (children or persons over the age of 65), returnees, IDPs and women with special needs.

Within this competition, BHWI intends to allocate a total of 125,000 EUR, with a maximum of 5,000 EUR allocated for a single project. The maximum project period is six months (implementation should be completed by the end of January 2007).
