The Publishing Programme of the Foundation Open Society Institute Macedonia FOSIM, presented the Annual Award for Best Book Design to “Ekokrater” Civic Association from Kratovo, for its Kratovo Tourist Guide. The Presentation ceremony was held at the NGO Infocentre in Skopje.
This is the third year in a row that the Award was presented. The Award was established with the aim to improve the standards and to promote creativity and professionalism in the field of book design in Macedonia.
A total of five books and publications applied in the public competition. The jury of three chaired by Gordana Duvnjak, Editor at “Utrinski vesnik” daily and member of FOSIM Board, decided that the award should go to “Ekokrater’s” Kratovo Tourist Guide, for its success to incorporate fine design solutions with the text of the articles.
FOSIM announced that the three copies of the competing books, submitted by the publishers as required by the competition, will be donated to the libraries of the NGO Support centres in Macedonia.
