First Macedonian Educational Web Portal Launched

The new web-portal for elementary and secondary schools in Macedonia, that will enable the teachers, parents and students in all schools in Macedonia to exchange experiences, share sources of information and positive practicies, was officially launched on May 11.

This initiative is a project of the Macedonian Ministry of Science and Education, supported by the USAID

"The portal was created to help the teachers, students and parents to improve their communication, sharing of information and improve the education of Macedonian elementary and secondary school students in the 21st Century", said Jillian Milovanovic, U.S. Ambassador to Macedonia, in her address on the launching ceremony.

The portal will enable all schools in Macedonia to create their own web-sites which will be connected through the portal. Also, it is expected that all students and teachers will open their own e-mail accounts on this portal.
