Job Openings at SEE Queer Network of LGBTIQ Activists from Former Yugoslavia

SEE Q Board would like to announce opening posts for 3 staff positions within the ReLAPII project of the SEE Q Network. ReLAP is a regional project on LGBTI lobbying, advocacy, and public policy.

This is the very first LGBTI regional project involving regional coordination and policy objectives. The aim of this project is to produce a professional Manual on how to document cases of violence and discrimination, to include national frameworks of ex-YU region and EU, CoE, and UN mechanisms, instruments and standards.

The objective of ReLAPII is to strengthen, inform and educated LGBTIQ organizations regarding successful lobbing, advocating, and public policy making within national legal systems deemed necessary to implement all human rights of LGBTIQ persons secured by international standards, including, but not being limited to sexual orientation, gender identity and _expression, and (inter)sex characteristics.

This project is scheduled to start in May and last for six months.

ReLAP II is supported by the Swedish Helsinki Committee for Human Rights.

Project Coordinator (1)
Post duration: 5 months
Monthly honorarium: 450 EUR (neto)
Responsibilities include:
1. Responsible for running the project, communicating with and informing the SEEQ Board, overseeing the budget, implementation of the timelines and tasks
2. Oversee the work of Manual researchers/writers and Finance Officer
3. Drafting and finalizing the outline of the project together with the Manual researchers/writers
4. Organize translations, printing, expert consultant
5. Edit the Manual (drafts and final)
6. Oversee completion of the Manual
7. Oversee all activities on the regional level
8. Oversee completion of the Annual Report for the SHC
9. Attend regional, regional team and manual coordinator's meetings
10. Offer technical support and supervision to staff on minimum monthly basis
11. Present final report and results to the SEE Q Board for review, feedback and finalization
