Take Care of Our Planet - the Earth

Last Friday, April 21, Tirana celebrated the "EARTH day", with numerous activities taking place in the park in front of the National Bank in Tirana. To take care of our planet - the EARTH is a joint initiative of Tirana Municipality and EDEN center.

The activities included the citizens of Tirana and other collaborators and participants: the Credins Bank (donor for the gates of the park), "Greens� public enterprise, the Albanian Red Cross, Youth organization FORIS, nine elementary schools from Tirana.

The activities started at 10:00 with speeches Marcie Ries, U.S. Ambassador to Albania and Edi Rama, the Mayor of Tirana.

The activities included the official start of the rehabilitation of the park, planting of flowers by the elementary school students, and Carnival of the earth, a performance by children dressed like different components of the natural environment.

At the end, all participants joined in distribution of attractive, illustrative and informative leaflets that contain trivia and information about the earth and the natural phenomena that take place on it.
