Balkan Incentive Fund for Culture

The European Cultural Foundation, Hivos and the Open Society Institute started a new fund for financing of NGOs in the cultural sector in Western Balkans.

The fund is dedicated to providing new opportunities for financing of artistic and cultural organizations from Albania, B&H, Croatia, Macedonia, Serbia and Montenegro and Kosovo.

Special attention will be paid to projects exploring the intercultural dialogue and competence in regional cooperation.

The Fund aims to contribute to the European integrations in the region, overcoming the gap between the existing situation (with almost no money for cultural exchange) towards full participation of the region in EU programmes.

The Fund is managed under the European Cultural Foundation Programmes. The first deadline for application was set for July 1, 2006.
