MJAFT Movement Protests against Arbitrary Decision of the Prime Minister

The MJAFT Movement protested last Wednesday, April 5, against the arbitrariness and the irresponsibility of the work of Prime Minister Berisha, towards the constitution and the laws of the Albanian state.

The grotesque protests included members of MJAFT stopping in front of Prime Minister’s headquarters, at the "Dėshmoret e Kombit" boulevard, wearing the same mask depicting the face of PM Berisha, with a huge banner saying "Now, we are all the same".

The protests came one day after the strong-worded debate in the Albanian Parliament, between the Prime Minister and Spartak Ngjela, the Chairperson of the Parliamentary Legal Committee.

Activists of the MJAFT Movement expressed their disagreement with Berisha’s habit to control the independent institutions in the country and the political personalities themselves, the personalities of the party he leads, as well as those in the Albanian Parliament.

Endri Fuga, the leader of the MJAFT Movement, said for the media that "now it is very clear that Mr. Berisha has not changed at all". In his words, "Berisha keeps working in his own ways, controlling everything and everyone. He cannot even approve of anyone who thinks and articulates words different of his own!”

The peaceful protest was only the beginning of several protests that the MJAFT Movement has warned to do, to oppose the steps, and unfortunately, the habits of the Government of Albania and its Prime Minister.
