Panel Discussion – To Information Society on Equal Ground

Under the auspices of the “Equal Access to Information Society” project, the Equal Opportunities (Jednake mogucnosti) association from Belgrade will organize the “Towards E-Society on Equal Ground: Directions, Control Lists and Best Gender Equality Practices” panel discussion.

The discussion aims to initiate a wider discussion of relevant social groups on propsed Directions, Control Lists and Best Practices in the information society. The directions will be used as the working material of the discussion.

The discussion and the contributions made at the panel will provide for the finalization of the project to advocate with the competent bodies and institutions to incorporate gender equality principle in the implementation of National E-Society Strategy through Branch Policies and ICT projects.

The Panel is scheduled to take place on April 6, in Belgrade, at the Faculty of Transportation, Vojvode Stepe 305, at 11:00 hours. The basis for this discussion will be provided by the working paper – First Draft of the “Towards Information Society on Equal Grounds” project.

The Project is supported by the Open Society Fund. The applications for participation in the panel should be sent to jednake@e-jednakost.org.yu.
