Testify. Tell. Sensitize. ESoDoc Documentary School

The documentary is one of the best communications and development tools at the disposal of the world of volunteers and non-profit and non-governmental organizations today. A new and useful tool that reach a new and constantly expanding audience, that promote the �cause� to the public and to work for it. Being able to follow the entire production process of a documentary, from the subject to the writing to filming and post-production, motivate and get donors and volunteers involved and promote the organization�s name and activities.

Since 2004, the ZeLIG school for documentary, Bolzano, has organized ESoDoc, a qualified professional training course on the making of social documentaries. The course is designed for audiovisual professionals attuned to social themes, as well as NGO and NPO communications specialists who wish to competently follow the production phases of multimedia content within the scope of their organizations � even if their intent is not to become actual filmmakers. The training course is organized in workshops, lectures and studies of case histories, but most of all, the course offers �participatory video�, an innovative technique that helps filmmakers to get to know their subjects and see things from their point of view.

EsoDoc is an international network of writers and producers of social documentaries and NGOs and represents an opportunity to realize innovative audiovisual projects.

22 places have been created for the 2006 session (10-12 of which are reserved for citizens of new European Union member states). March 27, 2006 marks the registration deadline for this year�s session. The first week of training will be held May 20 � 26, 2006, at Bolzano and Bressanone.
