Information and Communication Education for the Best

The Foundation for Development of Information Technology – Youth Information Centre from Skopje, with the support from the e-Macedonia Foundation, started the new project, “Information-Communication Step Towards Global Standards”, aimed to reduce the information gap between Macedonia and the developed world.
The project aims to provide specialization for the best. Its target group includes 50 young people with university degrees, who achieved 8.0 grade average during their studies. The beneficiaries will include students in their final year of studies or people who graduated in the past two years. Slave Mladenovski, Coordinator of the Secretariat of e-Macedonia believes that this project primarily assists the area of education. ”We believe that the eduation of youth population in the area of information technology is a humble contribution to the overall development of information society in Macedonia. Knowledge is power and a capital of ours that we can really use. The implementation of this project will enable fifty people gain deeper knowledge ni several computer technology programmes. We are deeply convinced that the acquired knowledge will be used for further development of the Republic of Macedonia”, Mladenovski said at the press conference held yesterday. Jordan Angelovski, FDIT Executive Director, elaborated on the application procedures and selection of participants in the training programmes organized under this project. The participants (selected on “first come, first serve” basis) will get 100 hours of education that will enable them to apply to new jobs, or start their own ventures, using their own capacity and newly acquired knowledge. Each participant will get a package of adequate textbooks and materials necessary to complete the courese and a diploma. The lectures will be given by qualified computer sciences engineers, and will include several topics: preparation of presentations, work in networks, beginners and advanced courses in text and table processing, internet, etc. The whole duration of the course will take approximately 3.5 months. |
