Medaicentre Sarajevo The Mediacentre Sarajevo started as education centre for support to independent and professional journalism in B&H, and later expanded its activities to the fields of publishing; media research; Public Relations training and consultation; TV and audio production; organization of cultural events. Mediaplan Institute Media Plan is the first private, independent organization on media development in Bosnia-Herzegovina, founded in 1995 in Sarajevo. Today, Media Plan is an institution with a lot of experience in media research, education of professionals, online information and different communication projects. Macedonia NGO InfoCentre The NGO InfoCentre aims towards further strengthening of the civil sector and its influence on the Macedonian society, by inciting the cooperation between the NGO, the media and the state institutions. Media Development Centre The creation of the necessary conditions for the existence of professional and quality mass-media at the European level, together with the possibility of making such mass-media easily available to the Macedonian citizen, through developed and modern channels and systems of distribution, broadcasting and access, represent the main reason for the existence of the Media Development Center (MDC). Makedonski intitut za mediumi – MIM MIM works and grows as a nonprofit, nongovernmental organization, center for professionalisation of the media and continued up grading of journalists and media professionals in Macedonia. Serbia Media Documentation Ebart Ebart/Media Documentation works on protection and archiving of print media in electronic form. Media Centre Belgrade MEDIA CENTER – the only multimedia organization in the South Eastern Europe providing full-scale services in the media sphere, founded by the Independent Journalists’ Association of Serbia in 1994. Centre for Professionalization of Media The Centre aims to improve professional standards in journalism, especially print media and news agencies in Serbia. Centre for Development of Nonprofit Sector The Center for the Development of Non-Profit Sector is a non-governmental, independent, non-profit institution intended as a center for information and documentation, communication, counseling and research. It is a service organization meeting the needs of the non-profit, voluntary, non-governmental organizations in the Serbia and Montenegro. Kosovo IREX IREX (the International Research & Exchanges Board) is an international nonprofit organization specializing in education, independent media, Internet development, and civil society programs in the United States, Europe, Eurasia, the Middle East and North Africa, and Asia. Kosovo Open Society Foundation KFOS works to strengthen government institutions and to further develop an open society within Kosovo. Its programs have focused on issues surrounding minorities, arts and culture, public administration, legislation, and education. USAID Civil Society and Media Temporary Media Commissioner The Temporary Media Commissioner (TMC) is an independent regulatory agency that promotes ethical and technical standards among Kosovo’s media. OSCE Kosovo – Media Development The Media Development Section of the Democratization Department works to develop free, responsible, unbiased, professional and sustainable media in Kosovo.
