Ministry Discusses High School Final Exams Consultations with Students

Genc Pollo, Minister of Education and Science, declared two days ago in the 'Korrieri' daily that the Ministry of Education will need a period of consultations with all interested parties before making a decision on the senior year high school exams.

In response to the continuing request by the MJAFT! Movement to base the decision on prior consultations, Pollo wrote in 'Korrieri' that "a tour is being undertaken through all high schools, not only by the ministry, but also by other experts on senior year high school exams".

Pollo argues that this step will be taken in order to avoid that the exam is felt as another obligation imposed by the Ministry, but to result from a wide dialogue.

A few days ago, MJAFT! organized a protest in front of the Ministry of Education, opposing the decision-taking by this department without prior consultation of the opinion of the students themselves.

High school students of Tirana, through numerous slogans, informed the Minister Pollo that he must respect the right of all the parties involved in this issue, to express their opinion. "We are here as well" was written in one of these slogans.
