Investigativge Journalism Training Programme – Class 2006
Reporters and journalists from the print media in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Serbia and Montenegro are invited to apply for participation in a five-month course for specialization in investigative journalism on the topic of organized crime. The programme involves distance learning courses and work on topical stories during the regular daily work, combined with short workshops in Sarajevo. The deadline for application for the Class of 2006 expires on January 23, 2006.
The programme starts in February 2006, and includes combination of clasical workshops and online work. During the five-month programme, the participants will improve their skills in the areas of investigative processes; organization and implementation of journalistic investigation; investigative journalism ethics; media legislation; internet and database browsing and searching techniques; and, writing of investigative stories. All stories produced in the programme shall be published on the web-portal of the NET Novinar, in the section on Investigative Journalism, in addition to the media in which the participants hold regular positions.
