A group of high-school students from Skopje, Tetovo and Kumanovo painted over the graffiti with violent contents and then placed messages for peace in the place of the former graffiti. The motto of the action was “To Eliminate Violence from the Walls”.

The aim of the campaign was to promote the values of lasting peace, solidarity, non-violence and respect for the rights of all citizens of Macedonia. The campaign is a part of the “Friendship through interethnic cooperation in Skopje, Tetovo and Kumanovo high-schools”.

The project is financed by the European Union, through the European Commission Delegation to Skopje, under the auspices of “European Initiative for Democracy and Human Rights” programme.
