MJAFT! Inaugurates "Herald TV"
On Wednesday, November 9, 2005, the MJAFT! Movement launched the “Herald TV”, a TV station with greatest ratings among viewers that lack electricity.
The latest television in the myriad of Albanian television stations has an obvious advantage, compared to the “competition”: it is independent from the power supply situation in the country. The “Herald TV” uses the old technique of giving the news by shouting them loudly, accompanied with drums and trumpets to attract the attention of the audience. The station will broadcast every day, starting from 1 o’clock PM. During the programs of this television, the citizens can freely express their thoughts and opinions regarding different problems they face. “This is a good help not only for the community, but also for the government,” said Besjan Pesha, activist of the MJAFT! Movement, in an interview he gave for “Herald TV”. “Having in mind the continuous lack of electricity, the Herald TV offers some space even for the Prime Minister and his advisers, in order for the Albanian citizens to be well informed about the situation in the country”, added Pesha. Herald TV will continue to broadcast its programs also during the following days, until the situation with lack of electricity returns to normal. |
