Regional Consortium on Media Improvement of Postconflict Society Established

The “Media Initiatives” from Sarajevo, the STINA institute from Split, and the Novi Sad School of Journalism, under the auspices of the “From Conflict to Trust” Module, organized the promotion of the “New Media Initiatives” Consortium.
The “New Media Initiatives” is a regional consortium of the three NGO media organizations from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Serbia and Montenegro. Their main goal is to joint the information, education and analytical activities towards a long-term effort to promote the values of civil society, stimulate development of democratic relations and institutions, culture of peace and tolerance, through the media in transition and post-conflict societies. Also, the Consortium will work to promote multiculturalism, good relations between neighbouring countries, as well as harmonized social and economic development on the road to European integrations. The media experts and activities of the three NGOs will join their experience, knowledge and skills towards new initiatives for more effective role of the media in transition and post-conflict societies. |
