Freedom of the Media on the Internet

Public Panel Discussion on Freedom of the Media on the Internet took place in the Hotel Aleksandar Palace, Skopje.

The Conference is organised within the International Conference �e-Society.Mk� which is organized according to the National Strategy for Information Society as part of the efforts toward meeting the priority needs � raising public awareness and enhancing the knowledge in this sphere by the speeches given by international and local experts.

Debate on freedom of media on the internet was held today in Skopje

Keynote speakers at the conference were Mr. Miklos Haraszti, OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media, Vienna, Ms. Sarah Broughton, Head of Media Development Unit, OSCE Spillover Monitor Mission to Skopje, Mr. Ian Brown, Board member, EDRI (European Digital Rights), Mr. Roberto Belichanec, Executive Director, Media Development Center, Ms. Dance Danilovska, Program Coordinator, FOSIM. The panel discussion was moderated by Mr. Jovan Petrov, Board member, Foundation Metamorphosis.

Many journalists from electronic and printed media, representatives of the bloggers' community in Macedonia and other guests interested in the issues covered by the discussion attended the panel discussion.
