PEACE UNLIMITED FESTIVAL 2005

The CIVIL Ngo for human rights and civil society development will organize the 6th Peace Unlimited Festival, October 25-30. This year’s edition of the Festival, organized under the auspices of CIVIL activities to reduce the number of guns in Macedonia is “The Sound of the City without Guns”.

The 6th Peace Unlimited will offer a variety of interesting programmes. Three workshops are planned to take place, under the title “Art Against Armes”: on literature, music and painting.

The workshops will be held by artists with whom CIVIL has had excellent cooperation: Igor Isakovski, Idriz Ameti and Marina Stankovic. The lectures will be interactive, and the results will be presented on the closing event of the Festival, October 30, at the Children Theatre Centre. CTC will be the site of all Festival events, unless noted otherwise.

The Festival also offers lots of music concerts, all of them to take place at the CTC, with the exception of the Friday, October 28, Concert which will be held at the Youth Cultural Centre.

The Festival is supported by several Foundations (FOSIM, Caritas France, Safer World) and was approved by the Ministry of Education and the local governments of the municipalities that sent participants from their elementary and secondary schools.
