Windows XP officially speaks in Albanian language
During this meeting, Hotaran has informed PM Kosumi with the project of Microsoft Corporation for Southeastern Europe, in this context for Kosovo also. In this regard, Prime Minister Kosumi has evaluated that with building of long-term relations with Microsoft, Kosovo Government aims to attract Microsoft to build its official presence in Kosovo.
Prime Minister has considered that application of Windows XP, Office 2003 and successive editions in Albanian language would certainly give an impulse of general level of usage of information technology and in particular the level of education system quality increase in Kosovo, developing of new businesses and increase of employment level. From his part, Silviu Hotaran has emphasized that practices that Microsoft has applied in Macedonia will be very valuable and of interest for implementation of projects in Kosovo as well, adding that cooperation with the government is willed to be perceived not only from the consumer’s perspective, but also from the partner one. Kosovo Government and its citizens will gain the possibility of an authorized support, professional, fast and in local languages for Microsoft products which are in use in Kosovo, says a declaration from the Prime Minister’s Office. Comment: Is there or will be there a Serbian language version for Windows XP in Kosovo? If not, why not? Indeed, is there a Serbian version for use in Serbia, Montenegro, and/or Republika Srpska?
