The aim of the “Lost-Found” booklet is to introduce the citizens to their rights and help them find the right address among the public institutions, so that they could realize their rights and interests. The 28 thematic chapters of the booklet discuss some of the most common issues and problems that the citizens face in their daily life, with the directions which institutions they could contact and the legislation that can offer more details about the proper procedures.

For instance, the guide offers instructions and advise for the citizens how to register an organization, how to access free legal protection; how to get a tax return or scholarship; where to report harassment in the workplace; who to contact in cases of violations of patients’ rights, etc.

The web-edition of the booklet could be found on the web-page www.gong.hr/knjizica (in Croatian), and will be updated on regular basis, having in mind frequent changes in the structure, titles and competences of public administration institutions, as well as the legislation.

The Booklet is available at GONG’s regional offices in Zagreb, Rijeka, Slavonski Brod and Zadar, and can be distributed by mail to all interested associations and institutions.
