The CDHRF in Kosovo protests the police action in Peje/Pec, directed against the activists of the Self-Determination Movement.

“Every citizen of Kosovo has the right to freedom of speech and expression”, says the press release by CDHRF.

With the exclusion of a short period of time, when Self-Determination
activists have been spared from harassment, they have been subjected to violent and harsh treatment at the hands of UNMIK, UNIMK Police and the Kosovo Police Service.

Recently, several activists of the organization have been convicted to a prison term, which is a gross violation of the universal right to freedom of speech and expression, as well as unprecedented action for a country that aspires towards democracy, comments the release.
