Creative Workshops for Children With Special Needs

Last week, the Foundation for Education, Science, Culture and Sports and the “Sparkle of Knowledge” Creative Centre promoted the project of creative workshops for children in elementary schools in Sarajevo and Istocno Sarajevo. The promotion was held at “Saraj” Hotel, in Sarajevo.

The workshops are intended for children with special needs, gifted children, children that need additional instruction and education, children from disadvantaged social groups, orphans and Roma children, as well as the teaching stuff that will be trained in the use of contemporary information technology and new methods in education.

A total of six workshops will be set up, three in Istocno Sarajevo, at the High School and Secondary Crafts and Technical School, with additional three workshops in Sarajevo, in Fehra Hauptman Street.

The workshops aim to improve the interentity cooperation in development and education of children in the elementary schools, as well as improvement and development of new teaching methods and development of creativity and support for gifted children.

The promotion was also used to present the new Physics Textbook for seventh and eight grade of elementary school, by Aziza Skoko. In addition, best teaching methods and practices were presented, as well as past and preparatory activities to this project.
