ZUM Activists
The ZUM association for youth employment and vocational training was selected as one of the two “contact points” for the EU financed “Youth Programme” in Croatia, together with the Volunteer Centre Zagreb.

The role of the Contact Points is to assist the SALTO SEE Resource Centre in the strengthening of the recognition and accessibility of the YOUTH Programmes in their respective countries. So far, Contact points were established in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia and Serbia and Montenegro (for a list of contact points, see here.

A training programme, designed to provide quality preparations for the work of the Contact points was held in Igalo, SCG, August 10-14, 2005.

At the moment, ZUM prepares information on the EU Youth Programme and its own role as a Contact Point. The information will be available online in beginning of September 2005, which also marks the official start of its operation.

ZUM seeks young volunteers and activists to participate in the implementation of association’s projects, present opinions and ideas for future activities. All interested should contact the association at 052 381 250 or 098 983 5515. ZUM will organize short meetings to present the ongoing programmes to the interested volunteers, who may then choose which project they want to get engaged into.
