World Youth Congress 2005

From July 30 to August 8, over 600 youth representatives from all over the world gathered at the World Youth Congress 2005.

WYC2005 at Stirling, Scotland

During the ten days of the WYC, they discussed subjects of sustainable development, MDGs, global problems such as poverty and the HIV/AIDS epidemic, the position of women in the society, etc.

The main idea of the Congres, the third in a row (the first two were organized in the Hawaii and Morocco) is that the youth should not be excluded and marginalized from decisions regarding the future of the whole world.

A small Croatian delegation took part in the Congress. Iva Vukusic, Croatian representative at the Congress, gave her views on the WYC2005 at Zamirzine (in Croatian).
